Shirt: River Island Vest: Ben Howard tour Jeans: New Look
These photos are from a couple of days ago - Friday, to be precise. I went on a day out with the parents to Llanbedrog in North Wales. In true British style, it was gloriously sunny when we left home, but grey and dismal when we got to our destination. Still, I had a nice time. To start with, we had a look around an old stately home that had been turned into a gallery. Ever the tourist, I may have bought a couple of things from the gift shop, including a book on Welsh folk tales to add to my growing collection of coffee table books (still sans coffee table).
We then went for a lovely (read: cold and breezy) walk along a heather-topped cliff, and down to a very pretty beach. For those of you who know the area, it's apparently where Wakestock festival is held every year. Despite the gloomy nature of the day's weather, I decided to snap a few photos, which I later even managed to coax a bit of colour into (thanks to a lot of editing). You can see them towards the bottom of the post!
Since I knew we'd be doing a fair bit of walking (inevitable on a day out with my parents), I thought I'd better wear something casual and comfy. I really love this Ben Howard vest, which I picked up after his gig at our students' union last winter. The style and subtle design make it so much more wearable than other band tees! As for the shirt, well, it was still August on Friday, and therefore technically still summer, so I thought pastel pinstripes would be acceptable. This was actually the first time I'd worn it in ages - I'd almost forgotten how much I like it.
I was feeling silver jewellery for this ensemble, as you can see below.
Stacking rings: Primark Swallow ring: RSC Theatre (see this post) Necklace: Primark
