one word of warning, you'll never be replaced

07/01/2014
Cropped jumper: H&M         Skirt: Topshop         Necklace: Topshop         Ring: Fossil

Today was the final chance to see a couple of my friends before we all head back to university, and how better to spend the day than (drumroll)... having a Harry Potter marathon! Well, we called it a marathon, but in the end we only had time for two films (we chose the first and last). We're all pretty big Harry Potter geeks nerds fans, so we spent a lot of the time getting a bit too into analysing the characters... mostly the Malfoys. Narcissa, we decided, is actually quite nice. She just wants to look after her family. (I'm sorry if you're not into Harry Potter, I really am. I'll stop now.)

A chilled day called for a comfy and casual outfit, and nothing says comfy like this jumper. It's so soft! I found it in H&M a couple of years ago now, and it's still one of my wardrobe favourites. Pair it with a basic skater skirt and a statement necklace (albeit a fairly tame one), and job's a good 'un!

Like I said, my time at home for the festive break is coming to an end, and I'm heading back to Cardiff tomorrow. My room in Cardiff doesn't have the best lighting and there's not a lot of blank wall space to choose from, so I'll miss my big patch of blue/turquoise wall! I'll see if I can find a better space to take photos in my uni house than the area I adopted last term.

Things are gonna get busier and busier from now on, I guess it's officially the end of Christmas/New Year! I'll do my best to keep blogging, though - that's one of my New Year's resolutions!

Helen xx

  2. Really pretty outfit! I love the jumper!
Also, I wish I could style skirts to my style - though it never works! It either makes me look frumpy or fat! :P

  6. In the movies Narcissa looks like a nice person indeed. But in the books she appears (to me at least) more like a careless woman except when it comes to family and family reputation ;)
I like the colourful jumper you're wearing. I wish you good luck with exams and projects for Uni :)
If you'd like to follow each other (gfc, bloglovin), just let me know :) xx

  11. No, don't stop. I love Harry Potter. It would be so interesting to here more about your analysis. Nothing funner than talking about the motivations/morals of fictional characters, right?

PS: That lipstick looks lovely. :)
