As I said, you can see a snippet of my uni room in these photos - believe it or not, this is probably the biggest space for outfit shots that it has. I'm still experimenting with taking photos in different parts of the room; the main benefit of this spot is that it gets good side-lighting from the big bay window. However, I also can't really avoid getting my clothes rail in the photos, and I'm not sure whether I like it being in them or not. On the one hand, it makes the photos look kind of messy and busy, but on the other hand, more clothes!
Anyway, I told you I wouldn't be able to resist putting this dress in an outfit post for long! I recently found it in the Zara sale (see this post). I love its laidback, slouchy cut, and the floaty white material makes it perfect for the coming spring. I thought it was crying out to be worn with tonnes of jewellery, too, hence the gold bling everywhere!
... (Never let me use the word "bling" again.)
Jacket: Zara
If you've read my blog before, you might be sick of seeing this jacket by now. It just goes with so much! I thought pairing it with this dress would give an interesting take on the monochrome trend, plus provide a slightly tougher edge. Not that I think this dress, or I for that matter, could ever be described as tough!
With Christmas and New Year firmly behind us now, I'm really looking forward to spring now. About this time of year, I always start getting impatient for the new season's stock to come in - I've been checking the previews obsessively!
Is anyone else as excited to see the highstreet's spring/summer collections?!
Helen xx
It's always tricky trying to find the best location for an indoor photo shoot, isn't it? I think your photos look fine - the lighting is really key.
ReplyDeleteI seriously love that dress! The drapey effect is so pretty and feminine! You look gorgeous!

DeleteI definitely know what you mean about wanting it to be Spring! In Australia it's been Summer with some of the highest recorded days in the world of 45.1 degrees celcius or 113.18 degrees farenheit. With that being said I am ridiculously excited for it to be Autumn and for it to cool down enough for me to wear outfits like this, haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the dress! It's absolutely gorgeous. I also imagine it being perfect for uni because it'd be so comfy. I'd love to see it styled more ways :)
Also thanks for the lovely comment on my blog :)
