you help me lose my mind

Pink stone ring: gift         Gold leaf ring: Fossil         Stacking rings: H&M

Okay, I'll admit it, I committed one of the biggest blogger sins in these photos... I took them in completely artificial lighting. Again. I, know, I know, burn me at the stake.

It's just still so dark all the time at the moment! I can't wait for the days to start getting lighter for longer. Not to mention warmer! I think this outfit was sort of me saying "okay, Spring, I'm ready for you now. Hurry up!"

I've had this cowl neck jumper for a few years now, but I still love it. It seems to fit into at least one trend every season; I'm currently using the nude/pastel colour palette trend as an excuse to wear it. The skirt, on the other hand, I bought last spring, and again the light colours make it perfect for this season. I'm also still a big fan of the porcelain print!

Jacket: Miss Selfridge

I added my (again, quite old) nude/pink leather jacket, as it's still bloody freezing outside! This jacket has definitely seen better days - you might be able to see a couple of rips around the collar - but I'm determined to get a bit more wear out of it. I'll just say the rips are to add a bit of grunge to the look!

Things are starting to get busy again as term starts on Monday, and I've already picked up where I left off with all the student media stuff, so don't be surprised if my posts get slightly less frequent again. I'm going to aim for at least one post a week, though.

How does everyone else manage to balance blogging with study/work? It's a tough one!

Helen xx

  3. I totally feel you about getting busy - I have a full time job that's not exactly a 9-5 (I work in politics) and blogging sometimes has to take a backseat on my list of priorities. That said, I wouldn't give it up because I always have so much fun doing it. I learned to just schedule posts ahead of time and take outfit posts for the week in one day.

Anyways, hang in there - I love your outfit posts (that jacket is absolutely fabulous!) but if you need to take a break, take a break :]

  9. I like the colours in this especially with the coat and that skirt is so pretty. I love prints like that! I've been so busy getting everything ready for my uni interviews I haven't even thought about my actual college project which means more work for me later! It is really annoying. I wanted to post twice a week but at the minute it's just once a week, i definitely know how you're feeling right now haha!
