Silver rings: Topshop
Gold feather ring: Fossil

Poloneck jumper and necklace: both Topshop
Skirt: Urban Outfitters

Hello! This is a long overdue post, I'm afraid... I promised to show you these items over a month ago now! Apologies, life and work got in the way. I've finished my work placement now, so it's back on the job hunt for me... yay.

The last couple of months have been so much fun, if you're interested you can read about what I've been doing work-wise here. Otherwise, I'm gonna go back to talking about more frivolous things like clothes.

In my last post, I mentioned that I was loving the 60s look... that clearly hasn't changed! Nothing says 60s like a poloneck and a bit of suede. I honestly nearly jumped with excitement when I found this skirt in Urban Outfitters - it was EXACTLY what I'd been looking for, and in the sale too I seem to recall (it was a while ago now).

I've gone for quite a polished look here; wearing my hair in a bun is a rarity these days, though I do quite like a relaxed up-do from time to time. Since then, I've also paired the skirt with crop tops for more of a night out look - it's so versatile, I love it.

I'm also really enjoying more natural make-up looks at the moment, here for instance I've kept it all fairly plain with just a hint of warm brown eyeshadow to add a bit of autumnal colour.

Anyway, that's enough of a catch up for now! I'll give you all another update soon.

  1. Don't worry if you've been busy, everyone gets busy at times! I hope you've been having fun with whatever you have been doing, work or not :)
I love the simplicity of this look with the black turtleneck and the statement of the skirt :)

  3. You look lovely hun! I wish I could pull of this kind of look/style! Good luck job hunting too, it's a painful process but I hope you find something soon. I had a quick look at your work experience placement and noticed you did a social media kind of job? What degree did you take for that? I'd love a career in PR/social media managing that kind of thing, but unsure as to whether I should go to Uni or have work experience placements! I'm studying a year course at Harlow University which ends about June time, so stressing with what to do! I digress haha... you look lovely! xx

    1. Thanks Hannah! :) Yeah my placement was being a social media producer for an opera company, so much fun! Looking for more work now in the same kind of field. I did an English Language and Communication degree, which had quite a few modules that were relevant to social media/PR/marketing/etc, but I think there are loads of routes you could take to this kind of work... obviously there are more specific marketing/PR courses, or digital media and marketing too, but I think experience is key really! If you can start gaining experience without going to uni, and that's what you'd rather do, then I say go for it! :) xx
