Christmas jumper: Hobo's Vintage (Cardiff)
Fur gilet: Zara
Waxed jeans: Topshop
Necklace: Urban Outfitters
Rings: various

Winter's officially here, and it's freezing outside (and inside). So the only logical thing to do is stock up on lots of warm layers. Duh!
I decided to use this excuse to buy a new christmas jumper, not that you ever really need an excuse! Well, I say new - it was from a vintage shop, so who knows how many decades it's seen. Still, it's new to me! I went scouring the shops with a fairly good idea of the kind of christmas jumper I was looking for, and had almost given up by the time I found this one. While I do like the ones with slogans, tons of glitter, bright colours etc etc, I decided that I wanted one that looked a little bit more, well, vintage. This one is definitely much more me.

I've been looking for ways to give winter outfits a boho vibe - not easily done as traditionally boho fabrics are light and floaty, definitely not build to withstand cold December days! Fur (or fake fur, in this case) seems to be one of the best solutions, adding both warmth and laid back vibes. I chose a gilet rather than a full jacket because I feel it just has a little bit more of an edge - plus, you can layer it over other jackets for extra warmth! This Zara gilet is so soft, I fell in love with it instantly.

The waxed jeans were a bit of an impulse buy - I needed a new pair of jeans, wanted something a little bit different to standard blue denim, and happened to spot these in Topshop at just the right time. They're a bit different to the kind of thing I normally go for, but I really like them! Despite the fact that have an annoying habit of wrinkling up around the knees quite a lot. But I'm just being pedantic now.

Moving away from the clothes... I'm back on the job hunt after completing my placement, which means more spare time to blog (yay!)
I've been writing application after application, but there don't seem to be too many jobs going at the moment... hopefully there'll be a sudden influx in the new year! Speaking of which, I am SO happy it's party season again, even if I am on a bit of a tight budget this year. The Christmas parties have started already, and I'm loving having an excuse to break out the tinsel and sequins. Maybe I'll share a party outfit or two on here over the next few weeks, who knows!

Anyway, I'm off to London tonight to see BEN HOWARD (!!!!!) with one of my best friends, so I need to start getting my stuff together. Which means time to stop rambling. I'll be sure to post again soon, hope you're all enjoying mine pie and mulled wine season as much as I am!
