new buys! photography and jewellery

So January is universally acknowledged as shopping spree month, right? New year, new season... Christmas money to spend (if you celebrate Christmas)... who am I kidding, I just fancied a bit of a shop. Well, there were a few things that I needed/wanted. So I hit up the Cardiff highstreet (which is quite possibly one of my favourite places on Earth).



Photo albums: both Paperchase

I've been looking for a decent photo album literally for years, and then two came along at once! I've always planned on putting my photos from uni (of which I have A LOT) into a nice album, and I had my eye on one in Urban Outfitters for ages, but it went out of stock before I got around to buying it. Since then, nothing's really caught my eye... until I spotted these two designs in Paperchase! Both were available in a range of sizes, and I couldn't pick between them, so I decided to get the larger camera print one for uni photos, plus the smaller map print one for travelling snaps (both past and future).


Photography book: Urban Outfitters (though it'll be available elsewhere too, obvs)

Speaking of future photography, this baby caught my eye in UO. I LOVE browsing their selection of weird and wonderful books, at any given time there's probably at least 5 books in there that I'm coveting. I'm forever taking photos, but as I'm sure any keen photographers browsing my blog are thinking, I've got a lot to learn. This book looked like a cheap and cheerful little guide, so I decided to give it a go! I also love the fact that it's very travel-photo-based, being a Lonely Planet book, so there are pics of some really gorgeous places in there.


Ring set: Urban Outfitters

If you know me, or if you're a regular reader, you'll know that I'm into rings in a big way. Gorgeous little intricate sets like this one are basically my Kryptonite, so I caved and bought it. There are SO MANY rings in this set, and every single one of them is lovely, which is rare - normally there are at least one or two rings in a pack that I never really wear. I particularly like the little green stone accents in two of the rings (those two have had a lot of wear already).


Necklace set: Miss Selfridge

When I came across this necklace multi-pack in Miss Selfridge, it was basically a no-brainer. I'm a sucker for anything a bit boho, and man I love my tassels. Plus, I had an Outfit gift card (which is eligible for use in a number of shops in the Arcadia group) as a Christmas present, so this buy was guilt-free! I can already picture so many outfits that it'll go well with...



What do you think of my choices? Have you been having a January shopping-binge too? I can't be the only one!

  8. Both these photo albums are so cute! I really want to get all the scrapbooks from Paperchase, they're unbelievably cute! I'd love to see a review of the Photography Book, I need something like that for my photography :)
