Is it spring yet?
While I'm getting pretty bored of being absolutely freezing 24/7, this long, cold winter has meant that I've definitely got my money's worth out of this cosy ASOS coat! I do love it, but it would be nice to not have to layer up quite so much any more. I'm certainly glad I invested in a new winter coat back in autumn now! This one was described on the ASOS website as a "car coat", but it's not dissimilar to a duster, which is what drew me to it initially. I was lacking a long, warm coat, and this one has the added bonus of being extra thick and soft, too.

The H&M trousers, on the other hand, I bought a couple of years ago now (not that it seems like it!), but I still really like the print - I feel it adds a bit of character and life without being too much! The print and fit also make them slimming and super flattering, score! It had to be a fairly plain top to go with them, of course - I picked up this tee in the Urban Outfitters January sale. I've been on a bit of a purple binge recently; it's also tipped to be a popular colour for spring/summer 2015, which is a bit quirky as it's usually a firm autumn shade!

A hat and long necklace(s) are basically my staples for tying together an outfit. I LOVE this oatmeal-coloured fedora from Topshop; I've been meaning to buy a hat in a lighter colour for ages, much more spring/summer friendly than my black fedora! These Miss Selfridge necklaces seemed to go well with the laid-back feel of the outfit too.

Sidenote - I've been looking mega-pale recently (the result of a long and relatively sunless winter), but I've decided to embrace it with fairly sheer and natural looking make up looks. Well, in the daytime at least. I'll admit, I still reach for fake tan/tinted moisturiser whenever a night out rolls around...

  3. Feeling you on the winter thing - I see all the stores selling spring clothes and I can't wear any of them because the temperatures are below freezing!
LOVE the pants - the pattern is so chic without being over-the-top!

  6. Cute outfit. Love the coat, it does look warm. I can't wait for it to warm up a bit though, it was so cold today!
