Have I mentioned how much I love 70s styles?
Okay, okay, I know I've gone on about it in previous posts, but seriously, I am SO insanely happy that the 70s boho trend is sticking around. I plan to continue milking it for all it's worth. (If you're good, I'll show you my flares sometime).

I'm also really loving this micro-trend of lace-up tops and dresses - it was poking it's head in spring, but has come out in full force in the Autumn collections. A couple of weeks back, I spent a good few hours deliberating between a few different black lace-up dresses; you know the drill, adding items to my basket on various websites then going back and forth between them, looking at them all longingly. Eventually, I decided on this shift style dress from Topshop, as the neckline didn't plunge as low as some of the others', so I thought it would be appropriate for more occasions. I recently wore this for a meal with some friends, but I could definitely see myself wearing it for a night out too, or even as workwear if I kept the rest of the outfit modest.
The sleeveless duster jacket was also from Topshop. I think I must've spent about three or four shopping trips gazing at it and sighing before I finally decided to cave and buy it - a decision that was helped by the fact that I had a Topshop giftcard at the time! I held off initially because it's not the most practical item (it certainly won't add much warmth in the Winter), but it's just SO PRETTY. The print is a bizarre and beautiful mixture of art deco and 70s folk; for some reason, it makes me think of Florence Welch, which can only be a good thing. It's also an interesting, less structured twist on the sleeves jacket trend.
Is anyone else loving the 70s trend as much as I am? What other Autumn/Winter looks are you getting excited about?
adore this look on you, the dress is awesome!
